Agriculture will be responsible or nothing at all

At Myrtea Export, corporate responsibility is an inherent part of our company and our reason for being. We exist to generate food, but also for prosperity and progress towards a sustainable and responsible agricultural model.

SDG 2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

Producing food more efficiently, reducing the use of resources and cultivation space is vital to meet the great challenge of feeding a growing world population, a model of sustainability that also involves eating less meat and more vegetables.

SDG 6. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

Protecting water resources is vital if we are to have water to irrigate the fields of tomorrow. At Myrtea, we optimise every drop and practice responsible agriculture so as not to endanger drinking water.

SDG 8. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Directly and indirectly generating stable and quality employment is one of the reasons that drives us every day. At Myrtea we promote a working environment with constant training, equal opportunities, safety and respect.

SDG 12. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

Being part of Sol de Levante allows us to ensure responsible production from the seed to the dispatch of the product, avoiding the waste of resources and also the waste of food thanks to our work methodology that guarantees freshness.

SDG 15.  Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

Protecting soil health is a guarantee that future generations will be able to work and get the best out of our land. At Myrtea we prevent soil degradation through conscious use of fertilisers and crop rotation.
